Betsy (she/her) joined UPOP in November 2021, and serves as the Senior Program Manager. In her role, she oversees all UPOP programming, ensuring staff success in their support of MIT’s UPOP sophomores.
Prior to joining UPOP, Betsy worked in the Lemelson-MIT Program for six years, overseeing finances, human resources, and operations. Her career has been dedicated to professional experiences that provide value to people and the planet, having worked for over 30 years in higher education and nonprofits, with a focus on operational management and environment-related programs.
Betsy earned her B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School. She enjoys travel, biking, and exploring local waterways, having recently learned to row.
