Maria Vazquez Sanchez

María (she/her) joined the UPOP team in August 2024 as a Student Program Administrator. In this role, she helps students put their best foot forward in all steps of the internship and job search process. She is passionate about helping students gain the confidence to leverage their strengths and pursue their goals.
Before joining UPOP, María taught Spanish, served as an advisor, and coached tennis at a boarding school in Connecticut. Prior to that, she was a Spanish teacher at Universidad de Navarra in Spain. María holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Global Public Health from New York University and a Master of Arts in Spanish Second Language Teaching from Universidad de Navarra.
Outside of work, María loves going to WNBA games, rock climbing, paddleboarding, and exploring the great outdoors.
