Amy joined the UPOP team in October 2009, working part time while interning as a career advisor with MIT's Career Development Center. She joined the UPOP staff full time in May 2010 as a program coordinator for student and employer relations. She now manages UPOP’s extensive employer relations program, including: developing content for all industry-related initiatives and events for UPOP; leading operational fundraising for the program through corporate sponsorship; and developing policies and guidelines for UPOP’s employer relations operations and recruiting activities. Amy conducts year-round outreach to more than 2000 employers, alums and other MIT community members to create job opportunities for students and to enhance career competencies for UPOP students.
Amy also works closely with current UPOP students and alums to advise them in their internship search and career development. She loves helping students connect their passions and interests to meaningful work experiences! A Boston native, Amy received a bachelor's degree in English from Union College in 2006 and a master's degree in English from Simmons College in 2009. Outside of UPOP, Amy is an avid traveler, runner and hiker.
